Founded in Brisbane, Australia, Firelabs started as a managed IT services provider helping small businesses get the technology support they needed to grow.

We evolved to offer digital services—domains, email hosting, and business essentials—everything a new business needs to establish their online presence.
Focus on email security
Recognising the growing threat of email-based attacks, we pivoted to focus exclusively on email security services, specialising in DMARC implementation and monitoring.
MimeProtect launches
Firelabs became MimeProtect with a clear mission: democratise access to email protection features that every business should have. We joined Pragmatic Builders Ltd and are now headquartered in the United Kingdom, serving customers worldwide.
Our name is a playful nod to the technology we protect: MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions). MIME is the foundational internet standard that enables email to carry attachments, formatted text, and rich content beyond simple plain text.
Every email you send uses MIME to structure its content—from the headers that identify you as the sender to the attachments you include. Unfortunately, attackers exploit these same structures to spoof identities and deliver malicious payloads.
